ACADEMY FUNDS AND MKDSA 50/50 CAR BOOT SALE

 

Firstly - a heartfelt thanks to those that contributed items for the stall, volunteered to assist in running it, allowed use of garages, bought from the stall, visited the stall to give encouragement or assisted in loading up the various vehicles during the week.

 

We raised a total of £210.75 during the morning which will be splt 50/50 with the academy. We also have enough items left over that we physically couldn't transport to the car boot sale to repeat the effort next week (weather permitting!).

ACADEMY FUNDS AND MKDSA 50/50 CAR BOOT SALE

 

MKDSA have been in talks with the Academy about the best way in which to help show our support. Mike Dove informs us that they are in need of portable goals, in particular for the Sunday teams that play. At the moment, staff are having to spend an hour or more setting up on a Sunday, and also after the matches. The total cost is around £7,000 and MKDSA are looking to raise funds to help provide this essential equipment. As you know, we are limited to where and how we can fund raise, and as such our funds are also depleted so we have decided to do a car boot sale on 30^th October at the MK Bowl with proceeds to be split 50/50 between MKDSA and the Academy. WE NEED ITEMS TO SELL! If you have small items you can bring them along to the match on 15^th, 29^th or Exeter match and give to a committee member. Alternatively, we do have a drop off point in Oldbrook, please call Lee Downes 01908 237139 to arrange, he is in most of the time. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ITEMS IN CLUB SHOP.

You can also help by attending the sale, letting friends and associates know about it, or volunteering to help on the day for an hour or two. Contact MKDSA at or call Lee and leave your contact details if you would like to help out.

DONS ACADEMY RECIEVE DONATION FROM SUPPORTERS CLUB.

The supporters club have recently donated £1000 to the Dons academy. The money was raised during fund raising events at the end of season function.

 

We know that the Academy will make full use of the money to help the superb work that is already done for the young stars of tomorrow.

We have had the final end Junereconciliation for the phone vote from our independent supplier, and are pleased to announce a donation of all the proceeds - £37.20 will be made to the St. John’s Ambulance Brigade.
