2006 Calendar competition

Who wants calendar girls when you can have calendar boys?

The all new official MK Dons 2006 calendar is out and it features all the MK Dons players as you have never seen them before.

The great looking calendar is a must for the all MK Dons fans with the manager, coaches and players all suited and booted and looking great.

It features live action shots and superb studio portraits plus it has all the statistics on the MK Dons players. It took the club months of work to complete but it has paid off with a stunning looking calendar.

Chairman of the MK Dons Pete Winkelman is delighted with the calendar, "It looks fantastic and it’s not like your usual run of the mill calendar. All the photos are top notch and make it look very original. The club takes great pride on being different from other clubs and the calendar is very different and very good," said Pete.

Priced at just £6, it would make a brilliant stocking filler for Christmas and the calendar can be purchased at the MK Dons club shop at the National Hockey Stadium.

The MKDSA have 2 Free Calendars to give away to 2 lucky winners.

Just answer the following question: Which local football club hosted the recent charity match between the MKDSA & The Media Tarts?

Send your answer via email to OR via post to MKDSA, PO Box 7294, Milton Keynes MK8 0ZE including yor name and contact phone number. The two winners will be drawn on 21st December 2005.

Stockport Matchball Sponsorship

The recent home match against Stockport saw the Milton Keynes Supporters Association as sponsors of the matchball. This was a very exciting opportunity for the Supporters Association, as it gave us the opportunity to publicly show our financial support for Danny and the team. It also allowed us to share the benefits of the sponsorship with some of our members.

This was done by means of a raffle, with 2 pairs of tickets for Corporate Hospitality on the day as first prize. The prize winners, Matthew Grant and John Wright together with their guests enjoyed a three course meal and executive seats along with their names being featured in the programme.

Matthew Grant spoke to MKDSA recently to express his appreciation for the experience. His guest for the day was his 8 year old son Ben, who plays for the Milton Keynes Dons junior team, a name to look out for! Matthew tells us that the day was top class, with an excellent meal and a chance to see what goes on behind the scenes. Ben had the opportunity to meet some of the players, and was particularly proud to have been presented with the Matchball on behalf of MKDSA by none other than Izale McLeod.

We look forward to more sponsorship opportunities, and hope many more of our members will reap the benefits!

Watch the Home Game against Stockport in Style!

The Supporters Association will be Sponsoring the Match Ball for the game against Stockport County in a couple of weeks.

This is obviously a great way to put money into the Football Club, but it also gives us the chance to offer 2 pairs of Corporate Tickets as a First Class Prize in our next raffle.

Raffle tickets will be available from the Supporters Bar and Committee members at tomorrow’s game against Huddersfield and also at the next Home Game against Hull City.

Tickets will cost 50p each or just £1 for a strip of FIVE! There will be two winning tickets each allowing two fans to go corporate for the day.

As a corporate guest you will get:

Paul Tomkinson, the winner of the recent announcer competition, became the ‘voice in the sky’ for the Dons recent home game against Brighton. We would like to confirm that there were no mispronunciations of player’s names, infact, he done so well he has been asked to come back and do the next two reserve home games!

Unfortunately for the Dons we lost the match even though we were winning 2-1 late on, just like the first team!

Once again we would like to thank the football club and Paul for his time and hope he had a great day.

STADIUM ANNOUNCERS COMPETITION

The MK Dons Supporters Association, in conjunction with the MK Dons Football Club, held a competition last Friday to find a new "Voice in the Air" for our Reserves games this season.

Although the turn out for the evening could have been better, those that attended had a good laugh, mainly at the expense of the entrants!

The competition was split into three rounds consisting of Pre- match announcements, Half time announcements and special announcements including goals scorers, substitutions and a couple of strange ones including the concrete cows and a pitch invasion by a streaker!

The winner on the evening was Paul Tomkinson from Pottersbury. He was closely followed by Paul Wright with Steve Manning and Glen Mathews not far behind as runners up.

We would like to thank all those that attended the evening and a special thank you to John Cove who helped judge the competition with our Franco Volpe.

You can hear our new signing on Wednesday 27th October at 2:00pm for our reserve match against Brighton.

Good luck Paul!
