MKDONS This Week

 

The youth team play tonight kick off 7pm against Watford in the FA Youth Cup show your support by watching the youngsters after you have had your little drinky's with the players, while the firts team are away to Colchester on Saturday in League One action and again against the same opposition on Tuesday 20th KO 7.45pm in the LDV Quarter Finals.

City Dons Youth Group

 

The MKDSA were pleased to present a cheque for £150 to the City Dons youth group before the Doncaster match. The MKDSA have worked closely with Football First on a number of communty projects and this is another example of partnership working to benefit MK's wide and varied communities.

THE ON THE SPOT PRIZE

MKDSA Junior Dons Officer will be on the look out for Junior Dons wearing their badges at all home matches this season, and one badge wearer will receive an on the spot prize at each match. The winner at the Doncaster match was Joshua Orchard and is pictured holding his prize. Make sure you wear your badge and you could be our next winner!

Doncaster Supporters Friendly match

 

MKDSA had the pleasure of hosting a match with Doncaster Rovers Supporters club before the main event on Saturday afternoon. A great time was had by all as the sun shone down on the Shenley astroturf.

GARY SMITH

 

With 4 goals in the last 3 cup matches, and a total of 7 in his last 8 games, Gary Smith is back with a vengeance! MKDSA talked to him this week, and he had this message for supporters. “It’s good to be back on a regular basis, it’s been a long time coming. I definitely think I am good enough to keep my place, and I won’t let it slip away too easily” MKDSA members can read the full interview in the December newsletter which is going to print next week.

Trust Open Meeting

John Brockwell - Chair MKDSA & Dr Phyllis Starkey MP

Trust open meeting

The open meeting was held on Friday 25th November @ the Windmill Hill Golf Club, Bletchley. The meeting was informed of the progress so far and the aim to launch the Trust within a twelve week timescale from the date of the open meeting. Those present included Supporters, Councillors and local Business representatives. A working group of a dozen volunteers was formed and will be responsible for the technicalities of forming a Trust.

Bournemouth Away

A weekend by the seaside awaited those who travelled to Bournemouth on the coach. At least the weather was kind to them - unfortunately the result wasn't in line with their spirits!
 
 
Academy U9's

Simon Dwight and the MKDons Academy U9's were at Kingston Centre on Friday evening in support of BBC Children in Need event.The evening was filled with demonstrations and guest appearances, and all the youngsters enjoyed being involved. Ryan Flood and Ross Morley also attended to represent the U18's, and joined in with the activities. More pictures and a full report will be in next month's newsletter.
